The Dutch Council for Refugees supports refugees and asylum seekers from the moment they arrive in the Netherlands until they can stand on their own two feet.

The Dutch Salvation Army [Leger des Heils]

Motivated by their Christian faith the staff of the Salvation Army provide help to vulnerable people who need support in relation to (mental) health, (sheltered) housing, finances, work and raising children. If you have any questions, you can contact the community centre in Zaandam.

The aim of the municipal health service is to ensure a healthy society and protect and promote public health. The organisation provides information about coronavirus, infectious diseases, tuberculosis and other issues.

The UNHCR provides support to asylum seekers and refugees in the Netherlands. On the website https://help.unhcr.org you can find more information about useful services, asylum procedures and your rights and obligations.

You can send a message in Ukrainian, Russian or English. A volunteer will then contact you in your own language. 14 The Zaanstreek-Waterland Safety Region This is a partnership between municipalities, the fire brigade, the police and the Association of the Municipal Health Services and the Regional Medical Emergency Preparedness and Planning Service [GGD-GHOR].
